Bridal Registry Hints

We know that the giving of gifts celebrates a marriage union. Those gifts also help the couple stock up on the things needed to make a house a home.

To truly value and enjoy the gifts to be received, we at Love Wedding Planning suggest that brides make excellent use of their bridal registry.

We offer these suggestions.

  • Don't hesitate to register. Your guests want to buy something you really want and will enjoy. Registering saves your guests time and keeps you from having to return duplicates.
  • Don't wait until the last minute to register. Most guests buy gifts well before the actual event and some buy engagement and shower gifts as well.
  • Do include your partner in the selection process so you'll register for gifts you'll both enjoy. Take inventory of what you have, consider the lifestyle you'll be living and register accordingly.
  • Don't overlook the details! Check out how the store will handle your gift selections. Will they deliver, ship, or hold the gifts? Be sure to ask for a written store policy that explains delivery of gifts as well as exchanges.
We encourage you to register for things in a variety of price ranges for the convenience of your guests.

"Hot" Ideas for your Outdoor Ceremony

We're having a heat wave here in the Northeast, and no one feels comfortable when its 90+ degrees and humid! Here are some great ways to provide some relief to your guests and bridal party.

If your guests will be sitting in the hot sun during your outdoor ceremony, provide them with cold drinks as they arrive. Things like iced tea, fresh lemonade, or even bottled water (with personalized labels of course!) They'll be greatly appreciated.

Even though you may be protected from the hot summer sun by a gazebo or other structure, your attendants maybe won't be! Consider having your attendants carry parasols to provide shade or fans to keep cool(either instead of their bouquets or in addition to them).

Another great idea is to having your wedding programs printed on fans so your guests can stay cool. The fans can also double as favors for your guests to take home as a remembrance of your day!
